This showstopping quilt was found at an estate in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The pattern is called “Rob Peter to Pay Paul,” featuring the finest hand quilting!
Lancaster blue paired with double pink creates a striking design. Both colors were popular with quilters of the era throughout Lancaster, Berks, Lehigh, York, and surrounding counties.

Measures 82 x 84 inches.
The hand quilting is exceptional, with tiny stitches at 8 per inch. The designs are lush, filled with feathered vines and a neat central motif.
Finished with a Lancaster blue binding and a brown print backing.
In excellent, crisp condition—never used or washed. Light age spotting, no wear. It has that desirable thin batting collectors love.
