This is a sweet reminder of the past and how quilts can carry stories through generations. This pair of vintage Double Wedding Ring quilts was found together in an estate in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. ❤️💋
They were made for two sisters from the Good family, a well-known Mennonite name in the Lancaster County area.
It’s incredibly rare to find a pair of Double Wedding Ring quilts that have never been used or washed.
They feature a wonderful assortment of feedsack prints, with solid pink borders and backing. The four-patch blocks at each intersection are solid pink and green beautifully balanced and truly works of art.
c. 1930s
Each measures a generous 85 x 85 inches.
Fine hand quilting at 8–9 stitches per inch.
Hand pieced & hand bound
In wonderful, crisp condition—never used or washed. Some age spotting, no wear, all cotton fabrics.
Selling them together. Any takers for this pair that was made nearly 95 years ago and stayed together all this time.....a wonderful story to preserve with the quilts.
