Stunning in design this early princess feather applique quilt!

c 1850-60s

The quilting is lush with 14-16 fine stitches per inch.

Measures 82 x 82 inches

The applique is hand sewn.

Feathers in red and green. I do love the inner border with sawtooth in mustard yellow and red. It gives a wonderful framing to the center design.

Hand pieced & narrow turned edge is hand sewn.

Well, preserved through the years. It has some age spotting on front and back. There're areas of the applique that have color lift spotting. No wear.

Collection find originated in Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
