An amazing antique Pennsylvania Scherenschnitte quilt!

Scherenschnitte is a piecing technique where the fabrics are folded, and the patterns are cut into the desired design. This has an intricate design with tulips. A Pennsylvania German folk art!

The quilting is amazing with the finest work at 12-14 tiny stitches per inch. Patterns include 3/4" grids and swags and tassels on the border.

Measures 80 x 79 inches

The applique is hand sewn. This would be extremely different to achieve with all the curves.

The binding is hand sewn.

Solid pink!

In excellent condition, never used or washed. Light age spotting and no wear. Fabrics are cotton.
