A beautiful Pennsylvania quilt found in Buck's County Pennsylvania!
Quilt Pattern History
The pattern is called, "puss in the corner". Which gets its name from an early child's game.
Puss in the Corner is a chase and positioning game typically played with five players: four players occupy corners of a square area (like the four corners of a room or yard), and the fifth player is “Puss,” who starts in the middle of the square. The four corner players try to switch places with each other by running from one corner to another. Meanwhile, Puss tries to sneak into any vacant corner while the others are moving.
